Ribbon Cuttings
Hosting a ribbon cutting is a great way to spread the word about your business or organization. Almost every week, our Chamber celebrates grand openings, anniversaries, new locations and other business milestones. Contact us to schedule your ribbon cutting.
Membership Orientations
All members are encouraged to attend our membership orientations. You’ll meet our Chamber staff, network with other business leaders and learn how to make the most of your member benefits with our Member Information Center training and refresher. This free event is for members only. The business owner, primary representative, membership reps or other staffers who manage the online profile of the business are encouraged to attend.
First Friday Breakfast Brief
Chamber members and prospective members are invited to network with business professionals in the Perdido Key Area at a local restaurant. Each attendee will have an opportunity to introduce themselves and give a brief statement about their business. Make sure to bring plenty of business cards. The lunch is free to attend however each person will be responsible for the payment of their own meal. Check the calendar for this month’s location.
Networking Luncheon
Chamber members and prospective members are invited to network with business professionals in the Perdido Key Area at a local restaurant. Brown Bag Lunch Series
Pack your lunch and join Chamber members and staff at the PKACC offices for a monthly seminar on a variety of topics designed to help your business be more successful. This training is FREE for Chamber members, $5 for non-members. Check the calendar for this month’s topic and speaker.
Business After Hours
This high-energy, after-hours networking event is held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Chamber members network and get to know each other in a relaxed, informal setting. This is a great way to connect with your Chamber community and benefit your business because PEOPLE DO BUSINESS WITH PEOPLE THEY KNOW! Current and prospective members are invited to attend. RSVP’s are requested for planning purposes so check the calendar for this month’s location and registration information.
Chamber Committees
Ambassadors of the Key
Ambassadors of the Key are a group of highly-involved members who enjoy regularly volunteering at Chamber events in order to enhance their community connections. This is a great way to gain exposure for your business through a multitude of networking opportunities and exposure in the chamber community. Ambassadors frequently attend and assist with ribbon cuttings and special events in addition to welcoming new member businesses to PKACC. This committee meets at noon on the third Friday of each month at various local eateries.
Business Development
The Business Development Committee meets in the PKACC Conference Room at 8:30 a.m. on the third Wednesday of each month. This committee focuses on issues that affect the economic success and quality of life within the Perdido Key Area.
Military Appreciation
The Military Appreciation Committee meets in the PKACC Conference Room at 4:00 p.m. on the last Tuesday of each month. Initiatives of this group include several events in May to honor our military members and their families. Committee members also volunteer and assist with Wreaths Across America at Barrancas National Cemetary every December to remember the sacrifices of our fallen Veterans.
Women Mean Business
Meet fellow women business professionals one-on-one to exchange business cards and share information about your business and the products or services your business provides. Meetings are held quarterly. Keynote speakers address issues relevant to women entrepreneurs. The group also hosts fundraising events to support a variety of local charities as well as some fun activities and field trips designed to help build meaningful bonds with your sisters in commerce.
