Our committees are made up of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about making a positive impact on the local business community. Each committee has a specific focus, and works cooperatively to achieve its goals.
By joining a committee, members have the opportunity to network with other business professionals, gain valuable experience in their field, and make a real difference in the community. Whether you are a seasoned business owner or just starting out, there is a committee that is right for you.

Ambassadors of the Key

The Ambassador committee team’s primary focus is recruiting new members and retaining current members through education and mentorship as well as volunteering to assist with Chamber hosted events.

Primary Goals and Activities:
- Growing the member base of our Chamber.
- Educate and share member benefits by organizing membership drives and campaigns.
- Recruit and educate current and new members about member benefits and business opportunities through onboarding mentorship/adopt a new member.
- Attend and assist with Chamber-hosted events such as ribbon cuttings and special events.
- Promote Chamber events through social media and other networking channels.

Business Development

The Business Development Committe works in partnership with our local leadership, public entities, and nonprofits to support the community as a whole. This group advocates for the vitality of the local business, focuses on preserving the quality of life, and campaigning for safety on the Key in order to promote community development and provide an environment where business can thrive.

- Advocate and create meaningful connections for the growing business ecosystem.
- Keep a consistent dialogue with our local leaders regarding taxes, infrastructure, education, and workforce development.
- Assist and ensure in the Perdido Key Master Plan Progression.
- Advocate for safety including better crosswalks and the development of the Multi-Use Path.
- Support the core member base of our Chamber.
- Provide educational benefits by hosting workforce training and networking opportunities

Military Appreciation

The Military Appreciation committee focuses on inclusion, appreciation, and giving back to those who have served. This group works to make the Perdido Key Area a desirable community for military families to live, work, and play. As the Cradle of Naval Aviation since 1913, our economy relies heavily on military members and their families within our community.

- Bridging the Gap between military families and the local business community by providing resources to incoming families.
- Assisting Veteran entrepreneurs.
- Educating the community on the importance of the military history of the Perdido area.
- Supports, empowers and appreciates the military veterans and their families through events.

Women Mean Business

Our mission is to empower women by sharing professional experiences, collaborating in business relationships, and promoting community service.

- Meet one-on-one to exchange business cards and information about their business.
- Introduce themselves and share what product or service the business provides.
- Enjoy featured speaker presentations on topics of interest to women.
