Advocate for your Perdido Key community and help keep our area the best place to live, work and play! Whether your passion is for the environment and protecting the beaches, advocating for local businesses, or volunteering for local causes and events, there are many ways you can get involved to help the community.
Keep the Beach Clean
Perdido Key prides itself on remaining one of the last unblemished stretches of beach along the Gulf Coast. With our protected dunes and beach habitat, Perdido Key is home to many species of wildlife as well as the dunes that help to protect us from storm damage while keeping the area naturally beautiful. Picking up trash along the beach is one of the easiest ways you can contribute to preserving our beaches. Local organizations such as Clean Horizons, The Perdido Key Association, The Friends of Pensacola State Parks, and others often organize beach clean-up events throughout the year. They will provide gloves and trash bags to volunteers to help pick up trash littering coasts and waterways.
Advocate for Local Business
The success of small businesses is vital to the success of Perdido Key’s local economy. The Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce’s Business Development Committee meets monthly to discuss issues of importance to the community as a whole. Get involved in this committee to discuss ideas and programs to help support our small business economy here on Perdido Key.
Volunteer for Local Events and Causes
Perdido Key is home to many non-profit organizations working to support charitable causes. Whether you want to dedicate a day of service towards a military appreciation event, a 5k fundraiser, or even working a food drive, our non-profit organizations would love to hear from you!
