The Perdido Key Area has an extended history of music and songwriting, shaping the culture of the community. When visiting the lost key, one must-do activity is to enjoy a lively, musical atmosphere while indulging in some local cocktails or treating yourself to some fresh seafood and local fare and striking up a conversation with your beach-loving neighbors on the key. In addition, many local dining hotspots feature live music weekly or sometimes nightly!

Perdido Key is also home to various world-famous singer-songwriters who frequent our local hangouts to wet their whistle and share their lyrics and unique tune with their friends and family living in the lost key. It is truly magical to hear the songs straight from the songwriter and enjoy the sounds that create the musical backbone of our island community.

A popular time to visit the area is during the annual Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival. For over 35 years, this beloved musical experience has brought in over 200 Grammy award-winning and up-and-coming songwriters from around the world. This regional-musical experience is an exceptional weeklong opportunity to visit unique communities on the coast, from Fairhope, AL, to Downtown Pensacola, FL, and experience the incredible stories and beautiful music from the songwriters themselves.

Perdido Key prides itself on the various songwriters and performers that frequent locations throughout the area. So be sure to catch one of the weekly or nightly shows during your visit at one of our favorite local hotspots!
