The Perdido Key Area has a long history of supporting original music and songwriting, making the area a favorite of both amateur and hit-making artists. When visiting the Lost Key, one must-do activity is to enjoy our lively, musical atmosphere while indulging in some local cocktails or treating yourself to some fresh seafood and local fare. In addition, many local dining hotspots feature live music nightly.

Perdido Key is also a second home to a number of world-famous singer-songwriters who frequent our local hangouts to share their lyrics and unique tune with their friends and family living in the Lost Key.

The World-famous Flora-Bama

The Flora-Bama is one of Perdido Key’s most famous attractions. This down-to-earth beach bar also known as America’s favorite roadhouse, features multiple stages featuring live music 7 days a week.  The Flora-Bama holds a place in the heart of our Perdido Community as a family-friendly local business that always welcomes everyone and loves to give back to the community through charity events throughout the year. Visit the Flora-Bama any day of the week to enjoy live music from one of our local singer-songwriters!

A popular time to visit the area is during the annual Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival. Born at the world-famous Flora-Bama, this is the ORIGINAL and longest-running songwriter festival in the nation. For nearly 40 years, this world-renowned event hosts over 200 Grammy award winners as well as up-and-coming songwriters from across the nation and around the world.

Every November, visitors can enjoy this unique opportunity to experience the incredible stories and beautiful music from the writers behind some of the biggest hits on the radio. Once you hear a song performed by the original author, we promise you will never hear it the same way again.

Participating venues stretch across the Florida/Alabama state line all the way from Fairhope, AL, to Downtown Pensacola, FL.
